HOW TO PREVENT CANCER

Concerned about cancer prevention? Take charge by making changes such as eating a healthy diet and getting regular screenings.

You've probably heard conflicting reports about cancer prevention. Sometimes the specific cancer-prevention tip recommended in one study or news report is advised against in another.

In many cases, what is known about cancer prevention is still evolving. However, it's well-accepted that your chances of developing cancer are affected by the lifestyle choices you make.

IS CANCER A MAN MADE DISEASE?

Cancer is a group of diseases involving abnormal cell growth with the potential to invade or spread to other parts of the body.

It’s caused mostly by dietary intake and pollution in their environment. At the University of Manchester’s KNH Centre for Biomedical Egyptology in England, in 2010, after looking over remains and literature from ancient Greece and Egypt, looked into earlier periods too, a study had included the first historical case of cancer in an Egyptian mummy.
This published study from Nature Reviews Cancer, notes that researchers only found one case of cancer while looking into hundred of Egyptian mummies.

THE EFFECTS OF PROCESSED FOODS ON YOUR HEALTH

Processed foods are foods that have been compromised by the addition of hormones, additives, preservatives, unnatural genetic material or other chemical or heat treatments that alter or destroy the natural healthy enzymes, fatty acids, vitamins and minerals.
The main goal of food processing is to lengthen the shelf life of foods so that larger amounts can be sold over time.

The definition of what constitutes a processed food can vary slightly, processed foods applies to any food that has been altered from its natural state in some way, either for safety reasons or convenience to extend its shelf life. Processed foods aren’t just microwave meals, but also refer to foods that are packaged in boxes, cans, jars or bags.
